Senior Well Test Operator

In this role you are responsible for the installation and operation off well test equipment in a multidisciplinary team. This will be mainly on onshore locations in the Netherlands but also in our workshop. You work with your colleagues from the P&A pre work operations, on a rotational basis. This role involves ensuring the safety and efficiency of well test systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support during P&A pre-work.

Your profile:

You are an innovative spirit with a learner’s mindset and desire to be part of a winning team. You have a technical education (MBO) or equivalent and you are competent and familiar with MS office (365). You are flexible in terms of working times and locations. Your writing and verbal English skills are sufficient, You have problem solving skills with a systematic and innovative approach, a strong mechanical aptitude, are stress resistance, proactive and have a high level of communication skills and listening skills. You are able to lead your colleagues, act as an example, able to mentor them but also able to work on your own and make decisions independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation / commissioning and operating of flow-back/welltest equipment P&A prework activities;
  • Conduct and oversee well testing operations on-site;
  • Ensure tests are performed accurately and efficiently;
  • Coordinate other team members in P&A prework and plan and execute flowback package;
  • Provide detailed reports on operational performance;
  • Ensure well testing equipment is properly maintained and serviced;
  • Conduct regular inspections and calibrations of tools and equipment;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment issues that arise during operations;
  • Assist with Wellhead maintenance operations and wireline operations.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and incidents;
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments before and during circulating operation;
  • · Ensure all operations comply with regulatory and company safety standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities;
  • Prepare detailed reports on equipment status, maintenance performed, and any issues encountered;
  • Communicate operational status and progress to supervisors.

Equipment Management:

  • Ensure flowback/well test equipment are properly maintained and serviced;
  • Conduct regular inspections and calibrations of tools and equipment;
  • Manage inventory and ensure the availability of necessary tools and supplies.

Team Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the team;
  • Assist and provide technical support as needed, during other activities on site like Wireline operations/pumping operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical education (MBO) Education;
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in well test equipment / operations;
  • Safety Awareness: Comprehensive knowledge of safety standards and protocols in oil and gas operations;
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in challenging environments;
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in wellhead equipment and systems; strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills;
  • Certification, or willingness to train;
    • VCA-VOL
    • First aid(optional)
    • Confined space entry
    • Forklift driving certificate
    • Cherry picker certificate
    • Gas measurement
    • H2S
    • Truck driver license is a pre
