Vermilion Energy Netherlands B.V. (Vermilion) is a Dutch company that started operations in 2004. We are active in small fields gas production. The natural gas we extract is provided to Dutch residential and business customers. The Opportunity

Vermilion Energy has an exciting opportunity within the Netherlands Business Unit seeking a Field Production Engineer. The Field Engineer will assist the engineering team in efficient production and exploitation of assets in the Netherlands, based in Garijp Treatment Center (Friesland).Ā  The primary focus of this role will be to monitor and optimize production systems while maintaining compliance in areas associated with well integrity, production allocation and fluid sampling. The candidate will have a hands-on approach and be self-driven to achieve results.

What you will do

Production Operations and Monitoring

  • Monitor daily gas or fluid production and pressure from individual wells and identify well problems as they develop.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization of production such as well optimization or removal of system constraints
  • Ensure that appropriate fluid or gas samples are taken and analysis is captured into a database.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings at a field level.
  • Provide support for projects where required such as well intervention, well start up or well test activities.

 

Well Integrity

  • Ensure compliance of VEN’s well stock in accordance with VEN Well Integrity Management System.
  • Monitor well integrity status and report changes or failures.
  • Track periodic testing to ensure maintenance is completed on time.
  • Understand well architecture, diagnose well integrity issues in the field and utilize acoustic fluid shot techniques in the event of equipment failure or anomalies
  • Initiate, perform and lead risk assessments of well integrity anomalies and ensure mitigation measures are implemented

 

Production Allocation, Accounting and Metering

  • Review and report weekly production events, downtime and allocated volumes.
  • Review production allocation calculations, monitor and ensure that metering issues are resolved.

 

Operations and HSE Safety Training

  • Complete and maintain provided training to meet the competency profile of the position (e.g. VOL-VCA, Well integrity, Gas metering, NORM, H2S, ATEX etc)
  • Driving license required

 

Perform all other duties as required by the Team Lead Engineering.
