Senior PLC Software Engineer
As an experienced Software Engineer, together with the team of software developers, you are responsible for managing the technical aspects of software projects for our hydrogen filling stations. You will play a crucial role in the design, development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions. You will also be involved in drafting technical strategies and implementing best practices within the development team.
Your tasks
- Actively participate in the design and architecture process to build robust and safe PLC systems that meet the specific requirements of hydrogen refuelling stations
- Design, develop and implement PLC software solutions for control, monitoring and security of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure
- Identify technical requirements and prepare detailed technical specifications for PLC systems
- Review PLC code and technical documentation to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards
- Research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies for PLC programming to improve system efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with other teams, such as mechanical and electrical engineering, to develop integrated solutions for hydrogen refuelling stations
- Act as technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and provide technical guidance and support related to PLC systems
- A completed HBO education in the direction of, for example, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics
- You have extensive work experience as a PLC Software Engineer, Control System Engineer, Automation Engineer or similar
- Demonstrable experience in software development, preferably with a focus on PLC programming and industrial automation
- In-depth knowledge of PLC programming languages and platforms, such as Siemens PLCs
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Leadership qualities and ability to inspire and guide a team to success
- Knowledge of safety standards and guidelines for industrial automation, with a specific focus on hydrogen safety, is a plus
