About the Role
In order to scale up our data operation, we are assembling a brand-new data team of data, MLops and ML engineers. As a data engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building data pipelines in the cloud from scratch, building crawlers and scrapers, integrating with third party APIs and setting up the infrastructure to run machine learning models for data extraction and classification. Together with the team, you will be both pragmatic, experimental and creative in finding the best and most innovative ways to scale and automate our data collection and augmentation operation.
Qualifications
- Experience in designing and building ETL pipelines in the cloud
- Experience designing and building crawlers and scrapers
- Experience with (big) data-related cloud services in AWS, Databricks or other cloud providers
- Experience setting up data lakehouses, lakes or warehouses
- Experience building APIs and integrating with third-party APIs
- Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proficient in Python
- Strong creative, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
Familiarity with
- Docker
- Git & Github actions
- Infrastructure as code
- Make / Shell
- Machine learning & MLops knowledge/experience
- Distributed computing experience
Finally, we require the following:
- Fluency in English
- The right to work in the Netherlands and adjacency to the office (we are on-site at least 2 days per week)
