About the Role

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a cross-functional team to define and implement backend architecture and features.
• Develop reliable RESTful APIs using Python and PostgresQL.
• Write highly efficient SQL queries and migrations.
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior developers.
• Continuously optimize application performance and user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Python and PostgresQL.
• Strong knowledge of web development best practices.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AWS and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Pydantic, SQLModel and Pytest.
• Understanding of CICD piplines, specifically Github Actions.
• Experience with tools such as Docker, GNU make, Shell

Finally, we require the following:

• Fluency in English
• The right to work in the Netherlands and adjacency to the office (we are on-site at least 2 days per week)
