Manager Quality Control

We have an exciting job opportunity to head our Quality Control (QC) department. As Manager QC, you are leading a growing team of yet around 15 motivated professionals and trainees. The team is responsible for the development, validation and maintenance of analytical methods and the analysis of our polymers for GMP batch release. Further to that, the team participates in R&D projects for providing analytical support and expertise. Your department is responsible to keep our sophisticated analytical equipment park in top condition and all according the appropriate quality and safety standards.
Core responsibilities and challenges
- Warrant continuity and timely delivery of analytical results by the QC department
- Ensure high quality of the reported analytical results
- Ensure development and availability of reliable methods and documentation according to established quality standards (ISO 13485, GxP)
- Responsible for QC personnel affairs, laboratory facilities, equipment and related budgets
- Collaborate with other departments and actively participate in PolyVation’s management team
- Enable a pleasant and productive working atmosphere
Your Profile
- A motivating, result-driven people manager
- MSc or PhD degree in analytical, polymer, organic and/or pharmaceutical chemistry
- Knowledge of analytical technologies in the area of (biomedical) polymers
- Able to evaluate and improve internal procedures and processes (lean)
- Strong communication skills (verbally and in writing) in English and preferably also in Dutch
- Relevant experience in industry: life sciences and/or chemistry (at least 8 years)
- Living within 100 km from Groningen
