Community Lead

At Founded, we are looking for an Operations lead to join our team.

Founded is a partnership of the Northern Netherlands knowledge institutions, business, provinces and municipalities to strengthen the Northern startup ecosystem. In the vibrant startup and scale-up ecosystem of the Northern Netherlands, numerous initiatives are flourishing. It is therefore our mission to make the Northern Netherlands the place where startups and scale-ups work on the global challenges of today and the future.

Founded is committed to strengthening the northern startup ecosystem with a founder focused and data driven approach. We organize a network of support around crucial life stages and milestones, on the way to growth for startups. We build on our own experiences, existing initiatives and (inter)national best practices.

What will you do:

Founded is responsible for the implementation of the Founded in the North program. Besides the implementation of this collective program, the platform also focuses on the joint further development of the northern startup and scale-up ecosystem. Founded acts as a representative of the Northern Netherlands within the startup community, both nationally and internationally.

As Operations lead, you are part of the management team and report directly to the Director. You are responsible for effectively coordinating all operational activities. You work closely with the various teams to ensure that our operational processes run efficiently and are accounted for based on the (grant) targets. In addition, together with the director you develop new projects based on the objectives of the foundation through which you contribute to the long-term perpetuation of the organization.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• strategy development and implementation: you will develop and implement the long-term strategy that aligns with the goals of the foundation;
• program and project management: you oversee the results of programs and projects aimed at supporting startups, scale-ups the ecosystem;
• organization development: you design effective and efficient operations of a goal-oriented, decisive and future-proof organization;
• reporting: you are responsible for the design and execution of financial and content reporting towards the board, funders and stakeholders;
• coordination operation: you coordinate all operational activities within Founded;
• project development: you are responsible for writing, managing and reporting on regional, national and European grants.
