What will you do as an International Customer Journey Specialist at Gomibo?
Join our motivated team at Gomibo as an International Customer Journey Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication with customers across Europe. As part of the Customer Journey team, you'll collaborate to deliver our website content in different languages. We are currently looking for specialists for our German domain. As the language specialist, you will be responsible for indirect customer communication. This includes product descriptions, informational pages, emails, SEO texts, and Tips & Tricks on our website.
As well as learning to write in the Belsimpel style, you will learn to work with HTML code and become highly skilled in Excel and other programmes. As the point of contact for translating texts, you'll be in contact with different teams at Belsimpel, which will give you a good idea of how the company works and allow you to meet new people quickly.
What makes this job special is that you won’t only be translating, but will take ownership for your own domain. Launching a website in a new country requires more than just translating the source text. In order to match the specific country better, more changes might be needed. Who better to assess what changes are needed than the International Customer Journey specialist who has knowledge of that country? You analyse our websites, compare us to relevant competitors and pitch your ideas to the team. You optimise the Customer Journey from start to finish, for all the customers of your domain!
You are a real wordsmith and understand like no other what appeals to people and how to explain, sometimes complex, issues as clearly as possible. You are driven, have a passion for languages and are always looking to improve.
Team Customer Journey is a young team that works to ensure that our European expansion proceeds smoothly every single day. This international team consists mainly of part-time colleagues who excel in both their studies and their work here! This means that there is always a friendly and casual atmosphere among colleagues. Belsimpel organises many events, like the Friday afternoon drinks every week or the famous Christmas party, so there are plenty of opportunities to have fun with your colleagues!
What will a regular day look like?
At the office door, you greet Merel, one of the English translators. You talk about last weekend's Belsimpel summer festival and, once upstairs, you grab coffee for both of you. You quickly check your mailbox after switching on your PC and discuss your to-do list for the day with the rest of the team. You are translating the product texts and several emails for the launch of the latest iPhone. After this, it's time for a request from Rutger, a colleague from Development. He has made an update to the Customer Account and needs the new texts to be translated into your language as well. Before going on a break, you spend some time analysing the website of local competitors to improve our competitiveness in the market.
Then it's time for your lunch break! You spend it on the sunny roof terrace, together with your colleagues from Customer Journey. After you beat Levi in a game of table football, you work on your proposal to introduce more payment methods to the domain you are responsible for. You finish off the day with the weekly team meeting, in which you discuss the action list and priorities for the week ahead. At the end of your shift, you turn off your computer with a satisfied feeling, you've made a lot of customers happy today.
