IWCN and Make it in the North are thrilled to invite you to our second Spouses Meetup! Are you an international spouse looking to start or grow your career in the Northern Netherlands? This event is designed specifically for you. Through this series, we aim to support spouses in navigating the local job market, understanding cultural differences, and finding meaningful work opportunities.

This time, we will not only share information and inspiring stories, but will also shed some light on Working Culture in the Netherlands. Do you want to know what characterizes the working culture and labor market in the Netherlands? You’ll quickly discover that Dutch working culture is probably different from the one of our country of origin. For example, different ways of communicating with colleagues or stakeholders, different ways of conducting meetings, different organizational structures, or wages.
Make it in the North, in collaboration with IWCN, will give you information about the peculiarities of the working culture in the Netherlands, as well as information about the market. We will share some tips and experiences and there will also be space for questions and feedback!
To better support international spouses, Make it in the North is launching a new landing page dedicated to spouses. This page will serve as a central hub with useful information to help you navigate the Northern Dutch labor market. During this event, we’ll present the page—and we need your input! What works? What’s missing? Your feedback will help us shape this resource to better support you and other spouses.
