At Make it in the North we love connecting Dutch companies with international job seekers. That's why on Wednesday 3rd July 2024 we're organising networking drinks specifically for people and companies interested in the fields of:

Who is this event for?

If you're a company working in a field related to the IT & technology sector this event is the perfect opportunity for you to meet international job seekers to present your company to them directly. Who knows, maybe if you have a great pitch you can convince the most talented people in the room to come work for you!

If you're a job seeker who thinks you've got what it takes to work with one of these companies, we're very keen on having you join us on July 3rd! You'll be able to have 1-on-1 conversations with companies, ask any burning questions you may have, and perhaps even try take the next step to get on board their recruitment process.

Attending companies

It is 2006: Groningen students Jeroen Doorenbos (21) and Jeroen Elkhuizen (23) start web shop Metjelaptoponline.nl from their student house. Two years later, successor Belsimpel.nl is registered and in the following years the web shop wins several prizes, including the Deloitte Technology Fast50 Award in 2012. In 2014, Belsimpel opens its first physical store on the Vismarkt in Groningen. Belsimpel now has 7 stores spread throughout the Netherlands, where customers can go with all their questions.

The one in Groningen was opened in 2013 as a first CIC in the Netherlands!
