Box Smarter with Right-Sized Automated Packaging
The history of Sparck Technologies (previously known as Packaging by Quadient) begins in 1924 when HaDeWe was founded in Drachten. From day one, the emphasis has been on innovation and the development of high-tech solutions that facilitate life for other entrepreneurs. For example, we conceived of, developed and built the world’s first automatic clog machine in the 20s.
Since those humble beginnings, a lot has changed. The company has grown over time, and its technical solutions are in line with market developments.
So in 2014, we took our first steps into the world of automatic packaging machines for web shops. The astronomical increase in online ordering meant logistics service providers were desperate for a solution to pack multiple orders quickly, efficiently and in an environmentally friendly way every day.
Innovation has been written into the DNA of our company since 1924 and with our skilled engineers we came up with a solution for the problems faced by online retailers. That solution came in the form of smart machines that can pack custom orders automatically and at lightning speed. Without air and without filling material. With over 300 employees in Europe and the United States, we have made it our mission to make sustainable packaging the standard in ecommerce. Companies worldwide are now able to benefit from our smart packaging systems by saving on box volume, packaging material and personnel costs.
As is so often the case, the idea for packaging machines started at the drawing board. But there is only a real total solution if the entire process is right. From start to finish. Our foundation is the reliability of our machines and the passion of our people. And it’s on this that our customers build. You need a Sparck, to ignite excitement!
