History

• 1982
  Rohill created a research and development unit to design customer-specific products and applications for the PMR market.
• 1988
  Several innovative signalling solutions sold as OEM products to brands as Philips, AEG/Matra, Marantz, Maxon and Kenwood.
• 1990
  Rohill expanded into the international PMR market with the development and sales of its own range of products.
• 1992
  Rohill partnered with National Semiconductor to design Integrated Circuits for the mobile communications market.
• 1994
  Rohill introduced the state-of-the-art Modular Digital Trunking System (MDTS), which was based on the open MPT-1327 trunked radio standard.
• 2002
  Rohill introduced its next-generation, digital TetraNode solution: the first to offer a multi-protocol capability, enabling a smooth migration from legacy and analogue trunked radio networks.
• 2006
  Introduction of the second generation of TETRA transceiver technology with reduced size and enhanced performance.
• 2012
  Introduction of the third generation of TETRA transceiver technology with improved modularity, lower power consumption and superior performance.
• 2014
  World first integration of public and private broadband networks with TETRA for voice, data and location services.
• 2018
  Adoption of SUMMUM vision to integrate best-of-class TETRA and broadband solutions and services from multiple vendors on basis of open standards.

After the launch of TetraNode, we decided to further specialise in system infrastructure and system-related solutions. Our adherence to commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software and open standards has proven to be valuable to governments and company users. They can source radio units and other components from multiple suppliers, allowing freedom of choice and guaranteeing availability of system parts in the future.

Rohill follows an integrated quality and environmental management system, which is certified for both ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015. We are determined to keep up to date with these international standards. We aim to continuously improve the quality of our products and services as well as the environmental impact.
