JIJ is a staffing agency founded by two friends over 20 years ago. Today, we have three branches in Groningen, Assen, and Stadskanaal, specializing in construction, engineering, hospitality, cleaning, and landscaping. We operate across the provinces of Groningen, Drenthe, and Friesland, as well as the Wadden Islands. Our focus is on both employers and employees, and we also assist freelancers in finding new assignments.
Within our team, we value strong relationships—among colleagues, flexible workers, employers, and the broader community. We actively contribute to sustainability, with our Groningen office built using circular principles. For biodiversity, we even own our own beehive.
Our Assen location is MVO-certified, partly due to our efforts in helping Ukrainian refugees find employment. Last year, we partnered with Vanhulley and Alfa College to support interns with unique learning goals.
We also foster a positive work culture through team activities, celebrations, and shared learning experiences.
