We empower people and organizations to save water and energy with smart and affordable water recycling products
Founder Arthur Valkieser created the Hydraloop based on an insight: āItās absurd that in the 21st century people still keep flushing their toilets with precious water, as it is becoming scarcer every day.ā
After installing one of the first prototypes of a decentral water recycling system in his own home, he became invested in water recycling. Valkieser spent years of research and development to create a compact, affordable, stylish, easy-to-use, low maintenance device. The challenge was to create a system that drastically reduces water usage without compromise on living comfort or personal hygiene. In November 2017, the Hydraloop was ready to go to market.
Within three years, Hydraloop installed hundreds of its innovative systems in countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa and gained international recognition for its sustainable approach.
At CES 2020, Hydraloop launched globally and had its worldwide breakthrough. Hydraloop was awarded as āBest of Innovationā in the category āSustainability, Eco-design, and Smart Energyā ā and also won āBest Start-Upā, āBest Sustainable Productā, and the overall award āBest of the Bestā, beating more than 4000 competitors in different categories.
āToday, Hydraloop has extended its partner network over all continents. In the documentary Brave Blue World, the company is featured as one of the solutions to solve the worldwide water crisis. Hydraloop is based on the Water Campus in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands and at the Global Water Center in Milwaukee, United States.
