More than half of the Dutch are overweight, almost a quarter have sleep problems, more than 10% experience mental health complaints and three-quarters do not meet the guidelines for healthy eating – the numbers do not lie, unfortunately.
How can we get healthy again? We believe that the road to a healthier society begins with breaking some persistent patterns of thinking. We need to move from thinking in care and illness to doing in health and behavior: because health is not the absence of illness, it is making healthy choices over and over again. In our vitality program for organizations, we inspire, guide and reward participants to change their behavior. We do this by showing them in an approachable way that healthy living can be a lot of fun and gives a lot of life energy.
