Evonik Peroxide Netherlands BV is located at the Chemiepark Delfzijl, where it has its own plant for the production of hydrogen. Through ambitious goals, the company aims to make production completely sustainable. The hydrogen peroxide produced is used primarily as a bleaching agent for textile and paper pulp fibers, raw material for other specific chemical processes and as an oxidizing agent for wastewater treatment and soil remediation.
The production site in Delfzijl is part of the globally operating Active Oxygens Business Line. Evonik has branches in more than a hundred countries. Its headquarters are located in Essen, Germany. Approximately 34,000 employees work at Evonik worldwide.
