We believe that waste is the raw material for a better future. Making something from nothing: we do that every day. Together with our partners, we ensure that the circular economy is put into practice.
The waste problem is immense and therefore seems difficult to tackle. We started just because we believe that action can bring about positive change. That is why Cycle-Up was founded, a circular service as a local and practical solution.
We believe in a circular future: a future in which waste no longer exists and its value is recognized. We are building this circular future in the first circular HUB in the Northern Netherlands: the Cycle-Up HUB. Circular companies come together at this vibrant location, all working on this circular future. Our partners consist of:
Stadshout Leeuwarden (cut wood becomes new furniture)
Pottle (wine bottle becomes stylish drinking glass)
Fryslan Fungies (coffee grounds become oyster mushroom)
OwnieZ flip-flops (durable rubber becomes stylish slipper)
Our Cycle-Up HUB offers a variety of activities: we organize events, provide impact measurements and of course we work every day to see which residual flows we can up-cycle.
We also work with the Social Workforce: an innovative project that gives people at a distance from the labor market the opportunity to work. This group of people is widely deployed within the Cycle-Up HUB. This means that someone does not work at the same company five days a week, but develops different talents and qualities through the differentiating work that is offered.
We believe that waste should no longer exist in the future. We are ready to build. Will you build with us?
